Sufi Islamic Board files complaint against Amish Devgan – Anchor and Managing editor of News 18 India

Issue: 

Amish Devgan, on his show on 15 June, had used the term ‘Lootera Chisti’ (‘Chisti the robber’) as referring to Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti (r.a.), inviting furious reactions from the Muslim community throughout the country.

Action Taken:

Sufi Islamic Board filed a complaint against Amish Devgan and M/s Network 18 Media & Investments Ltd. at the Pydhonie Police Station on 23rd June, 2020.
